Esoteric Art as a Path to the Symbolic Self

Information

Esoteric Art as a Path to the Symbolic Self
Sometimes we are able to open a doorway to our most intimate selves through art.
If we can use art as a tool to better understand the world, art becomes a mirror and a window of ourselves.

"For I never desired to know anything of the Divine
Mystery, much less understood the way to seek or find it;
I knew nothing of it, as it is the condition of poor laymen in their simplicity... the gate was opened to me, that in one quarter of
an hour I saw and knew more than if I had been many years together
at a university; and knew not how it happened to me."

Gorlitz (1600) and his Illumination

"I am a part of all that I have met:
Yet all experience is an arch wherethrough
Gleams that untraveled world whose margin fades
Forever and forever as I move."

Tennyson's "Ulysses"
